The 32nd installment of the popular “Crayon Shin-chan” film series, titled Super Gorgeous! The Blazing Kasukabe Dancers, has unveiled a new trailer and official poster, with its release scheduled for August 8, 2025, in Japan.
Directed by Masakazu Hashimoto and written by Kimiko Ueno—who previously collaborated on the 2022 film Ghost Ninja Chinpūden—this latest movie marks the series’ first story set in India. The plot follows the Kasukabe Defense Force as they win a dance competition at the “Kasukabe Children’s Entertainment Festival,” earning a trip to India. During their travels, Shin-chan and his friend Bo discover a mysterious grocery store and purchase a uniquely shaped “nose” backpack, which holds a surprising secret.
This film features Shin-chan and Bo as co-leads for the first time, with dance as its central theme. It integrates vibrant elements of Indian culture alongside dynamic dance sequences, while maintaining the series’ signature humor. The voice cast returns with Yumiko Kobayashi reprising Shin-chan’s role, Chie Satou as Bo, and veteran actors including Mari Mashiba, Tamao Hayashi, Sadayuki Ichiryusai, and Toshiyuki Morikawa. The theme song, titled Future is Yours, is performed by the Japanese rock band Sambomaster.
Super Gorgeous! The Blazing Kasukabe Dancers is the first overseas-themed film in the Crayon Shin-chan series since the 2019 release of New Marriage Storm: The Great Battle to Win Back Hiroshi. The movie is produced by Shin-Ei Animation, TV Asahi, Asatsu-DK, and Futabasha, with Toho handling distribution.
