Fans are gearing up to return to Wellsbury as Ginny & Georgia prepares for its next season.
The popular Netflix series Ginny & Georgia concluded its third season on June 5, 2025, diving deep into the fallout from Georgia’s dramatic arrest at her wedding. The season’s finale wrapped up many storylines, bringing the “Mayor Killer” era to a close and revealing much about Georgia’s troubled past, while Ginny absorbed the lessons from her mother’s manipulative ways. With the latest season ending on such a compelling note, viewers are eager to learn what lies ahead.
Fortunately, Ginny & Georgia was renewed for both its third and fourth seasons by Netflix back in May 2023. Here’s what we currently know about the confirmed fourth season.
When Will Season 4 Premiere?
Netflix has yet to announce an official release date for Season 4. However, fans may not face another lengthy hiatus like before. Series creator Sarah Lampert revealed that writing for Season 4 began as early as February 2025 — four months before Season 3 premiered. On February 24, Lampert shared on Instagram that the upcoming season promises to be “an incredible journey.”
Who Will Return for Season 4?
Following a third season marked by fewer character deaths than usual, most of the main cast is expected to return. This includes Antonia Gentry as Ginny Miller, Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller, Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller, Jennifer Robertson as Ellen Baker, Sarah Waisglass as Maxine Baker, Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker, Scott Porter as Paul Randolph, Raymond Ablack as Joe, Katie Douglas as Abby, Chelsea Clark as Nora, Sabrina Grdevich as Cynthia Fuller, Nathan Mitchell as Zion Miller, Vanessa Antoine as Simone, and Nikki Roumel as Young Georgia.
Some supporting characters may have reduced screen time. For example, Alex Mallari Jr.’s Cordova has less reason to stay in Wellsbury, and Dan Payne’s Nick was dismissed by the end of Season 3. However, characters like Aaron Ashmore’s Gil, who was mentioned during Georgia’s trial, could make a comeback.
What’s the Storyline for Season 4?
A major reveal: Georgia is pregnant. Sarah Lampert confirmed this in an interview with Deadline but kept the identity of the father uncertain. Lampert explained that even she has debated the child’s paternity with the writing team, indicating ongoing discussions and creative shifts.
Beyond the mystery of the baby’s father, Georgia will confront her own past and the future of her family. Lampert shared with Tudum that Season 4’s official themes are “Cycles and Origins,” referring to the imminent return of Georgia’s mother and her abusive stepfather. Meanwhile, after Ginny and Austin cross a significant line to free Georgia, Georgia herself begins to reconsider her approach to parenting.
Brianne Howey said in an interview with Tudum that Georgia reaches a point of clarity when she recognizes how her children have mirrored her manipulative behavior. This realization leads her to seek therapy as she strives to break the destructive cycle. Howey expressed optimism about Georgia’s growth, highlighting a glimmer of hope emerging at the end of Season 3.
Antonia Gentry also reflected on Ginny’s transformation in the Season 3 finale, noting it showcased a “completely new side” of the character. Ginny is set to spend the summer in Korea with Zion, and Gentry hinted at a tougher, more independent Ginny returning with “cool braids” and a fierce resolve to protect her family at any cost. According to Gentry, Ginny’s time abroad will leave her feeling “more cultured” and ready to face whatever comes next.
