With summer just around the corner, longer daylight hours mean more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. But after a full day, many will seek relaxation indoors—and what better way than tuning into a new hit series?
Here are five standout TV shows to watch in June 2025. All are fresh premieres except for one, which is the final season of one of Netflix’s most-watched foreign series.
Stick (Apple TV+, June release): Owen Wilson stars in this sports comedy blending elements of Ted Lasso and Gilmore Girls. Wilson plays Price Cahill, a former pro golfer whose career ended decades ago. Rediscovering his passion for the game, he mentors a young talent named Santee (Peter Dager). The series also features Mark Maron, Judy Greer, and Timothy Olyphant. Executive produced by Wilson, Stick premieres its first three episodes simultaneously, followed by weekly releases.
Ironheart (Disney+, June 24): Marvel Studios expands its universe with Ironheart, following the character Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne, who returns as a brilliant MIT student balancing technology and magic after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This six-episode limited series concludes Marvel’s Phase 5. The cast includes Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, and others.
The Fall (Amazon Prime Video, June 25): Fans of Jensen Ackles, known for Supernatural, will appreciate his new role as Mark Mitchum, a Los Angeles detective investigating the murder of a Department of Homeland Security official. Working with a secret task force, Mark uncovers a larger conspiracy threatening the city. The crime thriller also stars Jessica Camacho, Eric Dane, and Violet Beane.
Squid Game Season 3 (Netflix, June 27): The highly anticipated final season of Squid Game arrives after a brief six-month wait since Season 2. The dystopian survival thriller continues its critique of capitalism and social inequality, centered on deadly children’s games where desperate participants compete for massive cash prizes. Season 2 ended with Seong Gi-hun rallying a team to fight back, unaware that Hwang In-ho is the mastermind behind the scenes. The finale promises justice, heartbreak, or both.
Smoke (Apple TV+, June 27): Inspired by the Firebug podcast, Smoke stars Taron Egerton as detective Dave Gudsen, teaming with arson investigator Michelle Calderon (Jurnee Smollett) to stop two serial arsonists threatening the Pacific Northwest. The crime drama is based on a fictionalized true story and produced by the team behind Black Bird. The cast also includes John Leguizamo, Greg Kinnear, and Anna Chlumsky.
