HBO has announced the three young actors who will star in the highly anticipated original Harry Potter television series. Dominic McLaughlin has been cast as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton will play Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout will take on the role of Ron Weasley.
This series is one of the most eagerly awaited television projects in recent years. After an extensive global search targeting British children aged 9 to 11, the production team selected these three young talents to portray the iconic characters.
All three actors are at the early stages of their careers. Among them, Arabella Stanton is notable for her acclaimed lead role in the West End musical Matilda.
In a statement released by Warner Bros. Discovery, showrunner and executive producer Francesca Gardiner, along with director and executive producer Mark Mylod, said, “The talent and charm of these three young actors are truly remarkable. We can’t wait for audiences worldwide to see their performances on screen. We are deeply grateful to the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It has been an honor to discover such outstanding young talent.”
