Horror-Thriller Featuring Felissa Rose and Lynn Lowry Arrives on VOD
Following a theatrical debut in January, J. Horton’s action-packed thriller A Hard Place is set to arrive on digital platforms, including Apple TV and Prime Video, on May 27, 2025. The film, which has already captivated audiences on the big screen, is now making its way to the VOD world, promising to engage a wider audience.
The movie stars Felissa Rose, Lynn Lowry, Sadie Katz, Rachel Amanda Bryant, Kevin Caliber, Ashley Undercuffler, and Bai Ling. The story follows a gang of criminals who, after a failed job, seek refuge in a secluded desert hideout. However, their plans quickly unravel when they discover the area harbors something much more dangerous than the law—an ancient war between monstrous predators who rule the day and night. As the body count rises, the criminals must decide whether they can trust each other for survival, or whether their only chance is to confront the terrifying creatures hunting them.
Horton, who wrote and directed A Hard Place, described it as “the most ambitious project” of his career. He expressed gratitude toward the cast and crew for their contributions, noting that the movie would not have been possible without their talent and dedication. “This movie would not exist if not for the generosity and good personalities of everyone involved,” Horton said.
The film also took a unique journey through the independent film circuit. In the spirit of legendary producer Roger Corman, the production team took A Hard Place on the road, screening the film at theaters and drive-ins across the country. Horton shared how rewarding it was to see the film with audiences, a rare opportunity for many independent projects.
For those who missed the theatrical release, A Hard Place will be available for digital streaming beginning May 27, offering horror fans the chance to experience this tense, creature-filled thriller from the comfort of their own homes.
