ComingSoon has premiered an exclusive trailer for A Sloth Story, an animated family adventure from Blue Fox Entertainment, featuring the voice of Saturday Night Live alum Leslie Jones. The movie is set for a theatrical release on March 14, 2025.
In A Sloth Story, the plot follows Laura, a speed-conscious sloth, who, after a destructive storm devastates their home, relocates with her quirky family to the bustling city. Their hope is to revitalize their struggling business, traveling in their dilapidated food truck.
The official film synopsis describes the premise: “After a terrifying storm destroys their home, a speedy sloth named Laura and her kooky family move to the big city in their rusted old food truck hoping to make their business a success.”
What the Trailer Reveals
The trailer introduces Laura, a young and unusually fast sloth who finds herself joining her new neighborhood’s baseball team. However, her growing involvement in the team begins to conflict with her responsibilities at the family business. The storyline takes a dramatic turn as Laura places her trust in a seemingly friendly face—only to discover that the individual harbors sinister intentions to steal her family’s secret recipes.
Alongside Leslie Jones, the film features an ensemble voice cast, including Teo Vergara as Laura, Remy Hii as Platy, Olivia Vásquez as Gabriella, Ben Gorroño as Luis, Dan Brumm as Chief Furbank, Facundo Hache Herrera as Mani, Matteo Romaniuk as Arlo, Thalia Colettis, and Andrew Cook as Coach Jerry.
