Paramount+ has unveiled the official trailer for the third season of its popular original series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. The new season will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ with a two-episode debut on Thursday, July 17. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays, leading up to the season finale on September 11.
The series returns with Captain Pike still commanding the USS Enterprise as the crew grapples with the aftermath of their harrowing encounter with the Gorn from season two. Season three promises fresh adventures and new civilizations, introducing a formidable antagonist that will test the courage and resolve of the characters. This season is a dynamic adaptation of the classic Star Trek saga, blending new and fan-favorite characters while exploring themes of faith, responsibility, romance, humor, and mystery—covering genres not previously seen in the Star Trek franchise.
Produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout, and Roddenberry Entertainment, the cast includes Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chang, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, and Martin Quinn. Guest stars for the season feature Rhys Darby, Patton Oswalt, Killian O’Sullivan, Melanie Scrofano, Carol Kane, and special guest Paul Wesley.
