Plot
The story follows two estranged siblings who reunite for a daring global heist to uncover the Fountain of Youth. As they follow historical clues across the world, their journey promises to change their lives and could even lead them to immortality. The film also features a strong supporting cast, including Eiza González, Domhnall Gleeson, Arian Moayed, Laz Alonso, Carmen Ejogo, and Stanley Tucci.
Guy Ritchie’s Recent Successes
Guy Ritchie has been a prolific filmmaker, releasing six movies since 2019. His recent projects have varied widely, including the live-action Aladdin, the action-comedy The Gentleman, and the WWII thriller The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. After Fountain of Youth, Ritchie is set to direct In the Grey, starring Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, and Wife & Dog, which features Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike, and Anthony Hopkins. Ritchie has also been in talks to direct Road House2.
Development and Direction
Fountain of Youth was first announced in 2023, with Rocketman director Dexter Fletcher originally set to helm the film before Ritchie took over. The shift in direction has led some to question how Ritchie’s signature style will blend with the adventure genre.
