Animal Control, the comedy series created by Bob Fisher, Rob Greenberg, and Dan Sterling with Tad Quill as showrunner, is set to return for its third season. Premiering in February 2023, it follows the lives of animal control workers in Seattle, highlighting how their work and relationships complicate their lives. The cast is led by Joel McHale, along with other notable actors.
Deadline has announced that Animal Control season 3 will premiere on Thursday, January 2 at 9 PM ET on Fox. It will follow Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen and precede another workplace comedy, Going Dutch, starring Denis Leary.
What Animal Control Season 3 Means for the Story? In the season 2 finale that aired in May this year, significant events took place. Victoria passed her citizenship test, and Frank, who had been fired from his cop job due to corruption evidence, finally accepted that he belongs in his current role of taking care of animals.
The upcoming season is likely to further develop the relationships between Victoria and Frank, as well as explore the potential romance between Emily and Shred. Building on the success of previous seasons, it will lean into the established story arcs. Additionally, the show’s popularity is being used to boost the launch of Leary’s new comedy.
The Fox Hit’s Return
Animal Control’s popularity was even referenced in the meta Simpsons season 36 premiere with an animated McHale cameo. Despite a somewhat rocky start, the sitcom quickly found its groove and is returning strong for season 3. Fans can look forward to seeing how the characters’ lives continue to unfold and how the new season will build on the existing storylines.
