Five Nights at Freddy’s 2: Return to the Pizzeria Set for Fall 2025 Release

by Barbara

At CinemaCon, Universal President of Domestic Theatrical Distribution Jim Orr announced the exciting news that a sequel to the global sensation “Five Nights at Freddy’s” is currently in development. Titled “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2,” the film is set to hit theaters in the fall of 2025. Following the massive success of the first installment, which premiered last fall, Universal and Blumhouse are eager to return to the pizzeria and continue the thrilling story.

The original film, based on the immensely popular video game, made waves both domestically and internationally. It premiered simultaneously in cinemas and on Peacock on October 27, capturing the attention of audiences around the world. While it was released exclusively in theaters overseas, it still managed to gross over $291 million globally. Additionally, “Five Nights at Freddy’s” became the most-watched title ever on Peacock during its opening weekend—a remarkable achievement considering the strong desire of fans to experience the film on the big screen. This rarity among day-and-date streaming releases underscores the enduring appeal and excitement surrounding the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” franchise.
