Kristin Chenoweth responds to Carly Waddell, a former Bachelor star who threw shade at Lady Gaga for singing ballads from Wicked during lunchtime while studying at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. In response, Chenoweth wants to duet with Gaga and sing songs from the hit Broadway musical. Chenoweth originated the role of Glinda in the musical adaptation of The Wizard of Oz.
Chenoweth praised Gaga’s vocal abilities in a 2021 interview and even said that she’s part of the “Monster” family regarding Gaga’s Little Monster fanbase. Meanwhile, Waddell called Gaga “so extra” and “ridiculous,” but admitted that she was good.
The long-awaited Hollywood adaptation of Wicked will be released on Nov. 27, 2024, starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. Grande collaborated with Gaga on the 2020 Chromatica album hit “Rain on Me.”
