Lifetime to Develop ‘All My Children’ Holiday Movie Set in Pine Valley

Lifetime is set to bring the beloved soap opera All My Children back to viewers as a holiday movie. The film will be set in Pine Valley, the fictional town where the original series was based. The project is currently in development with no production dates announced yet.

It remains uncertain if any of the original cast members will return for the movie, though some have expressed interest in revisiting Pine Valley. A spinoff series titled Pine Valley was announced in February 2020, with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, both former stars of the soap, set to executive produce. The couple, who met on the show, have been married since 1996 and host Live with Kelly and Mark.

In February 2022, Susan Lucci, who portrayed Erica Kane, mentioned that the spinoff’s production had been impacted by COVID-19. Despite delays, she expressed optimism about the project, highlighting its promising concept.

All My Children aired for 41 years from January 5, 1970, to September 23, 2011, with a brief web series revival in 2013. The movie’s development continues to stir excitement among fans of the iconic series.
